If your company is planning to hire an intern this year, you have until May 15 to apply for a 2011 Student Internship Grant. The Mechanical Contracting Education & Research Foundation's (MCERF) Funding Educational Excellence (FEE) initiative is funding the grants to encourage MCAA members to hire qualified college students who are interested in a career with our industry. The students must be full-time college students, preferably majoring in a discipline related to mechanical contracting, mechanical service or plumbing. Priority will be given to MCAA members that hire members of an MCAA student chapter. Each grant is $1,200 and the committee will award one grant per qualified MCAA member.
