The Mechanical Contracting Education & Research Foundation (MCERF) thanks all those who have contributed input and feedback to the Online Piping & Usage Specification (OPUS) site, the most user-friendly and relevant educational tool of its kind. Students, faculty, and those new to the industry will want to bookmark the updated and refined OPUS site and make it their first stop when looking for information on pipe/valve/hanger usage and specification for our industryand when looking for the finest and most reputable manufacturers and vendors of those products. The new and improved OPUS site also has a new "OPUS Button," that links your website to OPUS, which should appeal to those manufacturer/suppliers who have products referenced on OPUS. The OPUS button provides an instant marketing tool for vendors to demonstrate their allegiance to industry education while providing a way to draw traffic to their websites. John Martin of ANVIL International, and chairman of the OPUS Task Force, says this OPUS site, with its content updates and the new OPUS Button "is the realization of a four-year effort for a lot of contractors, vendors, students, and faculty."
