In November of 2005, a delegation of industry stake holders (including MCERF, MCAA, MSCA, PCA, UA and the Manufacturer/Suppliers Council representatives) explored the latest information on green building design, construction, and building management at GreenBuild 2005 in Atlanta, GA. The conference, sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council, establishes and promotes guidelines, a rating system, and a certification process for evaluating the environmental features of buildings. The MCERF task force will use knowledge gained from GreenBuild 2005 to develop appropriate strategies for educating contractors and workers on green building practices.
