In the interest of enhancing the knowledge of faculty who teach construction management and mechanical engineering students, the Mechanical Contracting Education & Research Foundation (MCERF) subsidized the attendance of up to 10 construction management professors to MCAA's Strategic Estimating Conference, June 4 - 6 in Cleveland, OH. Attending faculty not only gained knowledge, but also new insight, into the rationale behind a company's decision to bid on a project ...or not ... and estimate the project for maximum productivity and profitability and future competitive advantage. With that knowledge, faculty are better equipped to teach young professionals who are preparing for the mechanical construction and service industry.
