If you’ve been thinking about hiring a student intern for the summer, you and your company could benefit by more than just getting some well-qualified help. With funding provided by the Mechanical Contracting Education & Research Foundation (MCERF), MCAA’s Career Development Committee is making available Student Internship Grants to MCAA members who hire interns. The students must be full-time college students, majoring in a discipline related to mechanical contracting, mechanical service or plumbing. Priority will be given to contractors who hire members of an MCAA student chapter (see www.mcaa.org/careers for a list of current MCAA student chapters).
Each grant is $1,200 and the committee will award only one grant per contractor. Requests for 2011 Student Internship Grants are due to MCAA by May 16, 2011.
