Last week, the Mechanical Contracting Education & Research Foundation (MCERF) received contributions from one of its trustees and one of its most stalwart supporters among MCAA's affiliated associations. MCERF President Bob FitzGerald sent a check for $5,000, another payment toward FitzGerald Contractors' pledge of $100,000. The MCA of Greater Kansas City also sent the Foundation a contribution of $10,000, which raises its total paid contribution to almost $250,000. FitzGerald Contractors and the MCA of Greater Kansas City are members of MCERF's Partnership Enterprise (those giving $100,000 or more) and are exemplary in their generosity and long-standing support of the Foundation. The MCA of Greater Kansas City made its first Foundation contribution in 1992, and FitzGerald made his first in 1993 and has served in various capacities on the MCERF Board over a nine-year period.
